There are several ways you can search for contacts in your database by location: by city, state, ZIP code, distance from a particular location, or time zone.
For all of these options, begin by accessing the Advanced Search on the Contacts page:
From here, follow the below directions:
Search by city
- Click Field from the dropdown menu and select City
- Start typing the name of a city in the Enter a location box and select from one of the options that is suggested
- Select is and change it to is not if you wish to exclude contacts from a particular city
Search by state
- Click Field from the dropdown menu and select State
- From the last dropdown menu, select one of the state abbreviations
- Select is and change it to is not if you wish to exclude contacts from a particular state
Search by ZIP code
- Click Field from the dropdown menu and select Zip Code
- In the empty box, enter a ZIP code
- Select is and change it to is not if you wish to exclude contacts from a particular ZIP code
Search by Distance from a Location
- Click Field from the dropdown menu and select Distance from Location
- Start typing the name of a city in the Enter a location box and select from one of the options that is suggested
- In the miles... box, enter the radial distance around the selected location you wish to search, in miles
- Select within (miles) and change it to not within (miles) if you wish to exclude contacts that are located within the radial distance of the selected location
Search by Time Zone
- Click Field from the dropdown menu and select Time Zone
- From the last dropdown menu, select one of the available United States time zones
- Select is and change it to is not if you wish to exclude contacts located within a particular time zone.
Please note that all location searches will consider all address information on your contacts if a contact has more than one associated address. Irregular address formatting could hinder CallTime.AI's ability to geocode the contacts' location and return them accurately in some of the above searches.
Tip: If you have contacts in your database without any address, you may want to include both people who are in the time zone you are interested in, as well as those who have no time zone associated with their contact at all. To do so, just add a condition to your time zone search and change "is" to "does not exist."
