Merge tags automatically insert information from a contact, such as their first or last name, into an email or text message.
Add merge tags to email templates
- From the menu in the upper left corner, select "Templates," then 'Email Templates."
- On a new or existing template, select the drop-down menu called "Merge Tags" from the formatting bar. Select one of the available merge tags and you will see the code for that merge tag appears in your template.
- When you save and use the template, the contact's information will automatically fill the space where you inserted the merge tag.
Add merge tags to text message templates
- From the menu in the upper left corner, select "Templates," then "Text Message Templates."
- On a new or existing template, type any of the available merge tags (listed below each template).
- When you save and use the template, the contact's information will automatically fill the space where you typed the merge tag.
